The Morrison Community Hospital Foundation Board of Directors is constantly looking at creative ways to foster fellowship and in turn, raise funds for projects at the hospital. Examples of those events include:
Boogie Woogie Bingo – This was a new event in 2020. Unfortunately, the COVID 19 pandemic forces us to reconsider. Look for this again in 2021. Plans include an outdoor event with music, food, and fun combined with a virtual event for those who prefer to play music bingo at home.
Fall Gala – Typically held in October this is our signature fundraising event. We have enjoyed live music from a variety of musical decades combined with menus popular in those days and a live and silent auction. We have also topped it off with a dessert auction. In 2020 this gala will be a virtual event. Stay tuned to the Morrison Hospital Facebook page and to our silent auction website- https:\\mchf.cbo.io to view and bid on auction items. Donations are always welcome. In the past ten years, we have purchased equipment for the hospital and raised funds to purchase land for expansion.
Christmas Tour of Homes – This event will be held on the first Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday afternoon in December. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore four festively decorated homes in our area and then gather at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 202 E. Morris Street in Morrison for a nightcap of beverages and desserts. (Postponed in 2020)
Estate Planning – Each year a local attorney gives a presentation over lunch on estate planning. This is a good time to learn about these difficult topics as this is an informational meeting – no cost or obligation. For more information about estate planning click here.
Employee Campaign – Funds are raised by over 170 Morrison Community Hospital employees to fund expansion projects in our facility. Over the past two years, employee donors have raised over $15,000 in our annual themed events.
