CEO 2016 Summer Newsletter

Welcome to our summer newsletter…

Since the first of the year the staff, leadership team, and board of trustees have been extremely busy making enhancements to our clinic services.  The Family Care Clinic is now located on the first floor providing over 10,000 square feet to meet the needs of our patients, allowing improved access to laboratory and radiology services.   The outpatient rehabilitation department has also expanded affording this team with the opportunity to add additional space to enhance the patient care experience.  As stated on the front page of the newsletter, please plan to attend our Open House on June 26 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM so you can see for yourself the great changes we have made.

 

As we make plans for the new fiscal year, our care for the patients and community we serve is the foundation we build on as we bring new services, improved technology, and additional healthcare providers.  We have great things to look forward to at Morrison Community Hospital.

 

You will see additional upgrades in our Radiology department which will include MRI services.  A new nursing position titled “patient navigator” will be added to assist you in your healthcare journey.   The patient navigator is a member of the healthcare team who will help patients “navigate” the healthcare system and achieve timely care.   The navigator will coordinate patient care, connect patients with resources such as specialist referrals, pharmacy management, and improve the patients’ understanding of the healthcare system.

 

Our most significate endeavor will be our capital campaign to renovate and expand our emergency department.  We are engaged and committed to our continued enhancement in providing quality services in an environment that supports privacy and efficiency.

 

As we all begin to enjoy our warm weather, this brings plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Please remember safety when enjoying the summer fun!
